Welcome to the BeastZL1 Channel. I'm a die-hard gear head that is into drag racing, road racing, tools, and personally improving as a driver. I am also a Mustang and Camaro racer!
I started out as a drag racer, but have transitioned into competitive SCCA Time Trials and non-competitive track days like "Track Night in America." I most recently placed 1st in the SCCA Time Trial National Tour in the S1 class at Carolina Motorsports Park located in Kershaw, South Carolina.

NASA Time Trial classing requires that competitors have certified dyno results for classing by horsepower to weight. Procedure to do a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Reset Relearn 2016-2021 Camaro SS, 1LE, ZL1, all models. In this video I'll QUICKLY go through the procedure to reset your TPMS sensors following a tire rotation or after changing to a new set of wheels and tires. A Supra Mk IV performs a pass without a point-by and then proceeds to smack the tire wall in turn 1 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. To add insult to injury the driver proceeds to drive on the high side of the speedway for an extended period of time. I had the privilege to share some track time in my 2018 Camaro ZL1 with a brand new 2019 Corvette ZR1 with the ZTK Track Performance package. The driver was obviously taking it easy, but you can see the difference in the straights. The Corvette ZR1 LT5 has 755 HP compared to the Camaro ZL1 LT4's 650 HP. #ZR1 #ZL1 #track

You really need to get the pump. It’s so much easier and cleaner. It’s cheap and you can easily get more refrigerator tubing at the hardware store
Is there any real advantage of going with SD over Blackstone in regards to how they provide the results? Making sense of the assay report, explanations of what is found and what is wearing, etc...?
The reports contain essentially the same information, but Speediagnostics includes an Oxidation Number. It is an additional charge to get it with Blackstone.
So what are the numbers? How do they compare between the two labs?
This video was 5 years ago, but your question is a good one. I compared the reports and the metals in both samples were within a few ppm of each other. The SPEEDiagnostix report measured 2-3 higher ppm for iron, copper, and aluminum. Viscosity cSt at 100 deg C was a head-scratcher. Blackstone 12.43 vs SDiag 13.2 (5W-40 Oil). Blackstone had fuel % <0.5, and SDiag said: "negative." The samples were taken right after each other, so the result is slightly confusing. I can't imagine the oil composition varied, so I suspect testing methods or calibration differ at each lab.
My 2021 Camaro 3LT will not go into "tire relearn active" after holding select. I have followed the owners manual instructions step- by -step. Has anyone experienced this?

Blackstone has prior samples so they were able to provide more comments due to having much more context. Speed Diagnostics only had 1 sample and cannot be as comprehensive with their comments
You can't go wrong with Blackstone, although they have been a little slower in processing samples recently, and they also raised prices (hasn't everyone).

Do you ever have heatsoak issues with the supercharger? Everyone tells me how terrible it is to have a boosted track car and i'm under the impression that it's totally possible with sufficient cooling
GM did a great job mitigating heat soak on the Camaro ZL1 with tons of cooling. There is still power drop off, especially on hot days. Aftermarket superchargers and turbo systems need to consider the heat loads for the intercooler and cooling system.
Thanks for the video. Gonna start using Blackstone for analysis on a 2013 f150 ecoboost. Might use it on my 911 but not sure that will matter as i don't do much more than 5k per year.
I replace them and when going to programe them, but when reaching the rear right tire it wont make the horn sound no matter what I do I keep pressing the tool button buth nothing happens. I do not know if that is defective or what. thanks for any help
If one isn't working, then it could be a bad sensor. Point the reset tool directly at the sidewall of the tire near the valve stem. You can also test the sensors by programming them before you install them in the wheels.
how do we change to PSI my tires don't show up as PSI but as Kpg or something like that i'm not in front my car now lol ..

it seems to me that more brake would only worsen the oversteer going through the turn. I have never been to CMP, but it seems to me based on your video that the kink is one of those turns where you want to have a little throttle input early on to balance the car and keep some load on the rear. Similar to turn 10 at Watkins Glen.

Yes, but I don't remember if it was installed or the stock controller was installed when I ran this lap.

I would definitely go ZR1 if I had the means. Faster and rarer car, plus the highest HP, last front engine, Corvette.

Awesome video I own both Gm and Ford vehicles. But like others have said prior I was hella impressed with that sn95 stroker not to take away from you just sayin. I’ve got a sn95 PG TT 5.8 based 2KR project build and that video sparked the itch again.
I have a Foxbody collecting dust with a 351W. I will eventually get it back on the road with a 408 stroker.

Not sure what you mean when you state the Goodyear are non directional tread. My GSC3 tires are directional.
The tires reviewed in the video are the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires. Goodyear has several similar sounding tire names, but these tires are not directional. They do have an inside and outside mounting on the wheel, but can be mounted on either side of the vehicle. The RE71R tires are directional and cannot be swapped side to side after they are mounted.
